"This past December I had reconstructive, ACL surgery. As part of my rehabilitation process St. Luke Physical Therapy agreed to partner with my Missoula primary surgeon and primary physical therapist. I live in Ronan and traveling to Missoula three to four times a week for 6 months for physical therapy would not have been feasible and time consuming. This is my second ACL surgery. My first one was 20 years ago. Since I have been "down this road before", I felt I was capable in doing most of my program on my own. I would check in once a week with the St. Luke Physical Therapy Department. However, I was sorely wrong. I tired to use a piece of weight lifting equipment at another place and went back at least 10 steps in my progress. Thankfully my Missoula primary surgeon, primary physical therapist and staff at St. Luke Physical Therapy set me on the correct path for recovery. The late afternoon staff at St. Luke guided me in how to work smart and I soon felt my progress accelerate. I have a tendency of going full bore and not being patient when it comes to mending oneself. When I went too hard and used the weight machinery at the other place I aggravated the tendons in my legs caused persistent, excruciating pain. Kevin, who I currently do my program under at St. Luke, instructed my on how to listen to my body and train smarter. I really appreciate Kevin and the rest of the staff at St. Luke. They have made me feel welcome and unquestionably made it clear they are approachable. Kevin is not the only one to offer pointers. Even, Kyota, who is doing his last clinical affiliation at St. Luke, had even given me valuable information on how to correct my "form". I really appreciated his information because sometimes a person can be so unaware of their incorrect form which can inhibit their forward progress or increase their risk of injury. Others that have made my experience enjoyable are Karen and Theresa with their smiles, encouragement and pleasantries. What a wonderful place to be when someone is trying to return back to health."

"In the month of December 2010 I had falling hard on ice landing on my left side of my body and was experiencing some pain from the fall. For the next few weeks it was not getting any better and I decided to contact my doctor. My doctor suggested I start Physical Therapy in Ronan. I began therapy in month of Feburary 2011. The first day at St. Luke Hospital I was evaluated by the Physical Therapist, Cortnee Gunlock. From past two months to this date coming in three to four times a week, Cortnee and others at this Physical Therapy Department have been working very hard to help me gain back (my back). I am glad to report that my back is getting better and if it wasn't for their kindness, professionalism and patience from all staff members I may have had a more serious problem or perhaps surgery. It's been a painful experience these past months not able to sleep in bed, waking up during the night, from a chair with pain in my upper shoulders and back, and can't seem to do much physically. I have come long way with the help form a fine staff at St. Luke's Physical Therapy Department and with their continous help I may soon be back to doing things again and sleeping better. Thank you Physical Therapy Staff."

I had developed a painful back and hip condition that was interfering with my active life style and Kyota was able to indentify the problem and develop a treatment plan that met my established goals. He was very knowledgeable, caring and efficient and provided me with both verbal and written instructions which were easy to follow and progress with at home as well as during physical therapy appointments.
