Employee Giving Program

Thanks to our caring and generous employees the Employee Giving Program has been able to subsidize projects that help and improve the quality of life for others. Projects funded are ones that will do the most good for the most people and that have no other funding means.

Started in 2001 as "Hand in Hand Together We Can" the employee giving program has grown into over a third of the 370 St. Luke employees giving a total of $32,946.92 in 2009 and over $200,000 since the program started in 2001.
Programs that have been funded include:

• Neo natal hearing tests
• No-cost mammogram screenings for un-insured women (since 2003) 
• Baby car seats
• Equipment such as the Oximetry Unit purchased in 2002
• Gift towards purchase of a Picture Archiving and Communications System
• A three year pledge total of $75,000 for sponsorship of the new cafeteria.
  
  Once a year members of the Grant Review Committee meet to review the newly submitted applications. Members of the Committee include two Foundation Board Members and four members of the St. Luke Staff.

• A Donation to the Digital Mammography Campaign
• Exercise Balls for Patients Therapy
• Supplies for Camp Mak-a-Dream
• Chairs for the Extended Care Facility Reception Area
