What’s your dream? What corner of the world will it take you? My dream is the same as our St. Luke family dream. I dream to make sure St. Luke Hospital continues to provide medical care, nursing, and nurturing to the residents of the Mission Valley. My dream takes me to rural Montana on the Flathead Indian Reservation.
When I think of what’s required to keep our St. Luke family healthy, I know without a shadow of a doubt that it’s very expensive. Computer technology is now incorporated into almost every aspect of medical assessment procedures. In fact, our radiology (imaging) department is now computerized. Thank you to those who made gifts to that project. You’ve already helped fulfill a part of our dream.
The spirit of our family dream must be preserved. The future of the Mission Valley depends on St. Luke Hospital to take care of the sick and injured. That’s why I’m asking you to help support our Guardian Angel endowment program with a donation today. Endowment funds are a conservative attempt to guarantee the future of St. Luke and to enhance the quality of our services. A gift to our Guardian Angel endowment allows you to leave a legacy.
Our endowment program will ensure that St. Luke Hospital will always have up-to-date medical equipment because we’ll only spend the dividend and interest income. That means every year funds will be available for required hospital updates. The principle will remain in perpetuity.
Calculating an average of 2% income from our current Guardian Angel Endowment Fund would only yield $2,800 to spend on hospital enhancements. That is not enough to keep our hospital updated on technological advancements. With your contribution we can continue to increase our funds to ensure our dream that St. Luke will be providing healthcare for many years to come.
It seems like it’s taking us forever to reach our five million dollar goal. I want you to know that together we can make a huge impact to leave a healthier, safer world to all those who follow in our footsteps! We can obtain our goal if we would, each of us, reach into our pockets and make a gift. Please don’t take this request lightly. What we do today will be reflected into the future. We may not be alive to see the full fruits of our gifts but our children will.
