1973
- A heart monitor machine and automatic EKG are purchased. A benefit bowling marathon is held at Lucky Strike Lanes for nurses’ station heart monitor. Plans are submitted to the State Board of Health for expansion.
1974
- A heart monitor is purchased for the nurses’ station. The Ronan Chamber of Commerce looks into the feasibility of building a nursing home. St. Luke receives $192,965 from the Mertle Sterling estate.
1975
- Administrator Jim Oliverson sends out letters requesting support for a 40-bed nursing home. Dolores Swalling is named director of nursing.
