- 1954 – While working under provisional licenses, the hospital board begins fulfilling requirements to receive a full license from the State Board of Health.
- 1955 – The Pledge-a-Month campaign is initiated. Mabel Mager is named superintendent of the hospital. Dr. Charles Thornton opens office in Ronan.
- 1956 – St. Luke receives its provisional license from the State Board of Health. The word “community” is added to the hospital’s name.
- 1958 – Payment of $16,380 due to the A. S. Aloe Company for equipment is paid off. Air conditioning is added to the operating room.
