  • Summer – A drive for membership in the St. Luke Hospital Association is started as a community-wide effort is made to get sufficient money to complete the building.
  • Fall – Work is started by the city to open the street east of the hospital to facilitate entrance to parking areas.
  • With the building fund drive nearly complete, the St. Luke Board of Directors turns its attention to ordering equipment to furnish the hospital.
  • The Ronan Lion’s club hosts a fundraising smorgasbord in addition to canvassing downtown businesses to buy $50 hospital memberships.
  • St. Luke purchases an X-Ray machine from the Holy Family Hospital in St. Ignatius.
  • The Ronan Woman’s Club has an organizational meeting for a hospital guild beginning with a sewing bee to make surgery linen.
  • More than 200 people attend an open house at the new St. Luke Hospital hosted by the Ronan Woman’s Club.
